DICE Awards 2022

Η διοργανώτρια αρχή των 2022 DICE Awards ανακοίνωσε τις υποψηφιότητες για τα φετινά βραβεία.

Η περυσινή διοργάνωση θυμίζουμε ότι διεξήχθη ψηφιακά, λόγω των περιορισμών που υπάρχουν εξαιτίας του κορωνοϊού. Το The Last of Us: Part II είχε 11 υποψηφιότητες. Φέτος, στα βραβεία ξεχωρίζει και πάλι ένας τίτλος της Sony, το Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, με 9 υποψηφιότητες.

Έκανε αρκετά αστειάκια και για διάφορα games.

Ο Greg Miller και η Jessica Chobot παρουσίασαν τα DICE Awards. Σε κάποια στιγμή αναφέρθηκαν σε συμπεριφορές παρενόχλησης στην gaming βιομηχανία και πέταξαν σπόντα ακόμη περισσότερο στην Activision Blizzard. Σε κάποια φάση ο Miller είπε "F Bobby Kotick", ενώ αμέσως μετά...το άλλαξε και είπε ξεκάθαρα "Fuck Bobby Kotick"! Αμέσως εισέπραξε ένα χειροκρότημα από το κοινό.

Ο Miller είπε και άλλα αστεία, σχετικά με τα Cyberpunk 2077, Metroid Dread και NFT.

Βέβαια κανεις δεν μπορεί να φτάσει τον τρισμέγιστο Josef Fares, ο οποίος καθιέρωσε τέτοιου είδους ατάκες.

Ο επικεφαλής του Xbox πήρε θέση.

Ο Phil Spencer θέλει οι gamers να αντιμετωπίζουν τους developers με περισσότερη αξιοπρέπεια και σεβασμό.

Ο επικεφαλής του Xbox κάλεσε τους παίκτες να σέβονται τους developers και να αντιτίθενται στην τοξικότητα της gaming βιομηχανίας. Αφού έλαβε το Βραβείο Lifetime Achievement στο DICE 2022 την περασμένη εβδομάδα, ο επικεφαλής του Xbox, Phil Spencer, δήλωσε : «Συνεχίστε να παίζετε, συνεχίστε να χρησιμοποιείτε τη φωνή σας, κατανοήστε τη δύναμη της δημιουργικότητας, τη δύναμη της κοινότητας», Ας σεβόμαστε όμως τους developers. Oι δημιουργίες μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν ως όπλα και σε μάχες μεταξύ κονσολών και άλλων πραγμάτων. Κοιτάζω όλους όσοι είναι αρκετά γενναίοι για να δημιουργήσουν κάτι. Βάλτε τους συνομηλίκους τους, τη βιομηχανία, τους παίκτες, να παίξουν και να αναλύσουν και να μιλήσουν για το τι κάνουν και ας γιορτάσουμε το γεγονός ότι τόσα πολλά υπέροχα games βγαίνουν από τόσους πολλούς δημιουργούς και συνειδητοποιούμε ότι είναι μια τέτοια βάση για το που θα πάει αυτή η βιομηχανία».

Δεν είναι η πρώτη φορά που ο Spencer μιλάει για τοξικότητα στα games, έχοντας προηγουμένως συζητήσει πώς η Microsoft θα ήθελε να βοηθήσει να απαλλαγούμε από τοξικά άτομα στα online games, δημιουργώντας ένα πρόγραμμα πολλαπλών δικτύων που θα μπορούσε να επεκτείνει τις απαγορεύσεις Xbox σε δίκτυα από άλλες εταιρείες.

Αν και αυτή η ιδέα θα ήταν «δύσκολο» να επιτευχθεί, η εναλλακτική αυτή θα ήταν ένα σύστημα που θα επιτρέπει στους παίκτες να φέρουν τη «λίστα απαγορευμένων χρηστών» μαζί τους σε άλλη πλατφόρμα.
